  • In 1921 he started a newspaper called 'Abhinava Keralam'
  • He adopted Rajaram Mohan Roy as the ideal model for his social activities.
  • He propagated the idea of Nirgunopasana or worship without an idol.
  • He was an ardent follower of Advitha Philosophy.
  • He passed away in 1939.

  • Sr. Mannath Padmanabhan was born on 2nd January 1878 at Perunna, Changanassery

  • He conducted Savarna Jatha (1924) from Vaikkom to Thiruvananthapuram in connection with Vikkom Sathyagraha.
  • On 1957 he conducted Jeevasahiga Yatra from Angamaly to Thiruvananthapuram in connection with Liberation Struggle.
  • In 1949 Sri.Mannath Padmanabhan became a member of the Travancore Legislative Assembly.
  • He was honoured  with the title Bharatha Kesari by the President of India.
  • He passed away on 25th February 1970.

  • Kumaranashan wrote the epic poem Budha Charitha for which he got inspiration from Edwin Arnold's Light of Asia.
  • Kumaranashan was the only poet in malayalam who became 'Mahakavi' without writing a Mahakavyam.
  • He got the title 'Mahakavi' from Madras University in 1922.
  • He died in 1924 a boat accident at Pallana in Alappuzha.
  • Veenapoovu, Nalini, Leela, Prarodanam, Karuna, Chandalabhikshuki, Balaramayanam etc are the major works of Kumaranashan.
